She's Sour, yet oh so Sweet

Casey Conway!! She turned 19 yesterday and I have known this chick since she was a wee one. I made her a lemon because she can be sour but she is a sweetie.

Santa's little Elves

They are oh so fresh! Now, this is the first fruit we have repeated (not bad for doing this gift giving project for over a year!) But, our friend Brittney lives in Chicago, and clementines can be shipped and won't rot right away.  Her birthday was December 10th, so we sent her little elves.

Go Saints!

Our friend Joe had a football themed party on November 21st. He loves the Saints so we took a gourd and made him a Saints player.

The football is an almond! Anthony's idea.

Matosaur

Our friend Mike's birthday is next week but I made him a little creature early since I'l be away. He's not partial to dinos, or at least I don't think he is but still!

Our friend Tim turned 29 on Oct 21st. We decided to make him pumpkin creature since Halloween is near, so mum-kin was created.

Mother Heirloom

Heirloom Tomatoes are pretty awesome. So, naturally we had to make a creature out of one for Sarina, who is also pretty awesome.

It's Mother Goose! I also thought of Mother Goose and her stories because Sarina works in the children's section at a library.

Red Pear!

We created an onion crab for Courtney for her graduation. She requested a fruit for her birthday. This red pear caught my eye and I created a cute guy who's ready to blow out the birthday candles.

Don Draper...if he was a squash

If you do not know who Don Draper is, you should get off this site and google his name. This spaghetti squash was created for our friend Justin. Justin dressed up as Don Draper for our MadMen party. (there's a hint)

Mango Tango Fandango

Our friend's Matt and Laurie are dating each other. They also both had birthdays in August. We decided to take two mango tango plums (yes that is what they're called) and make a cute couple. Anthony called them a cute south of the border couple. I like to think they're a couple who dances for a living.

GaGa-cado

Ingrid. She turned 22 on Sept 5th. She's awesome and creative. Therefore, she gets a Florida Avocado gone GaGa.

Purple Golfers

My Aunt and Uncle are both awesome. They both turned 70 on July 24th and they both are BIG golfers. I know we've used an eggplant, but these were a smaller kind. Too cute and pretty color!

Summer the Zucchini

There's a little background story to this one. My friend Amy turned 23 on July 11th. I know she likes cucumbers so, I tell my sister to pick me one up at the store and she gets a zucchini. Luckily, Amy likes those too. We made this little creature look summery. I think she's adorable.

Plum Captain

Jeff who is Anthony's little bro & he also turned 19 yesterday & we are all going on a cruise next Friday. So! Captain Plum was created.

Jamotine

It's a little late with this update, but our friend Jameson, (Jamo)'s birthday was May 2oth. He goes to Plattsburgh, plays hockey and makes faces. So? Clementine Jamo it is.

Chew-onut

Our friend John turned 22 on May 21st. He is also a REALLY BIG STARWARS NERD. So, we made him Chewbacca. Not just any Chewbacca. A coconut Chewbacca.

Quin, Fruit style

GLEE! That's what our little creatures bring people when they're received. However, this asian pear was made for my sister Sam who turned 21 on May 14th. She is also a GLEEK, so the idea was inspired from Glee, obv.

ONE YEAR ANNI

This veggie creature is special in two ways. One: the eggplant nurse was made for our friend Matt, who turned 24 on May 5th. He is also becoming a nurse. Two: IT'S OUR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MAKING THESE CREATURES. We made our first one last year for Matt's birthday. It was a banana and so kickass. I wish I had a picture of it. But how cool that we've been doing this for a year?!

Razz-in-nana

Kyle Swartz. What a man he is. He turned 23 on May 4th, and HATES BANANAS but LOVES RASPBERRIES. So what did we do? We made a fake banana peel, and put raspberries inside. Things aren't always at what they appear to be..

Broccoli fan

So we have a friend named Frank. He's full of great one liners, the Mets, and hot pockets. BUT for some reason he decided to try Broccoli. You see, Frank does not eat vegetables OR fruits. EVER. I was so shocked to hear that he tried broccoli and LIKED it. So, it was only appropriate that he received a broccoli man for his 22nd Birthday on April 15th.

Potatoose

Potatoes make fantastic moose. The brown color, the texture and if you get one with perfect indents for nostrils, it just works out lovely. We created a moose for my Aunty J, who had a birthday yesterday. She's a HUGE collector of anything moose, and loved receiving this little guy in the mail.

Purple Top Piggie

Purple Top Turnips are not only fun to say, but they make wonderful little piggies. Our friend Dana turned 22 on Monday, and we kind of both have an obsession with one day owning a pig. This works for now.

Our friend Nick turned 22 this month and he is a big KISS fan. He also had an infamous mohawk in school, so you put these two ideas together and mash it with a melon and you get:

Our friend Liss turned 21 yesterday. She is like my (michelle) little sister. I've known her forever. Anyway, she loves citrus..so what suited her best was a Lime. Not just any lime..a lime-a-pol.
